Ryder Steel

Drag Performance (Spring 2024)

Ryder Steel, Spring '24 Drag cohort

Ryder Steel (He/Him), the Hardware Heartthrob, is tough, strong, and rough, and he is not afraid to reclaim the key to his own twisted heart. His debut was at BAX in Spring 2024, but he has always loved messing with gender binary. He hopes to continue sharing his metallic, glittering self with the world.

Sarazina Joy Stein (She/Her) is a postmodern dancer, dance teacher, and theater electrician from the East Village. Her art focuses on indulgence, queer joy, and breaking norms. She has performed in works with: Emily LaRochelle, Kathleen Clark, Mindy Toro, Žilvinas Jonušas, Danielle Kipnis, Bryan Strimpel, Delfos Danza, Keigwin+Co, and at venues such as: LaMama, Abrons Arts Center, PSNY, Triskelion, Dixon Place, TADA Theatre, Theater for the New City, and Spoke the Hub. With Toro and Clark, she co-curated and performed in an evening of dance and music at Spoke the Hub, and is planning additional shows for the future. She has also danced in music videos by Carlos Truly and Carrie Beehan/Trystette. You can also find her performing in events around NYC with Fogo Azul, a flinta Brazilian samba reggae-style drumline. She tackles day to day life with a bounce in her step (literally)!
