Youth Classes

As an intergenerational incubator space, BAX welcomes all kinds of learners and centers peer-mentorship and creative expression within a culturally inclusive environment where young artists-in-progress can thrive. Taught by a diverse cohort of professional artists and educators, BAX Youth Education classes build technical skills in Dance, Creative Movement, Drama, and Tumbling while emphasizing improvisation, collaboration, performance, reflection, and community.

BAX students are celebrated for their individuality within the context of a nurturing collective and have opportunities to work independently and as part of an ensemble. During each studio class semester, families will have the opportunity to participate in Family Classes.

Our 2024 Spring Semester classes participate in Student Concert performances in the BAX Theater on May 17 and May 18 with classes continuing through June 15.
