BAX spaces are available to support your dance and theater rehearsals, informal showings and open rehearsals, performance rental packages, classes & workshops, auditions, youth birthday parties, events, parties, and meetings. BAX now has two locations – 421 Fifth Avenue in Park Slope & 80 Hanson Place in Downtown Brooklyn/Fort Greene!
BAX Fall 2026 Open House!
Join us as we kick off BAX’s 35th Anniversary Season with a joyful community celebration for all ages Sept. 13! Enjoy family friendly activities, music, and collaborative fun outdoors at the Old Stone House from 9:30AM–11:30AM, followed by free sample fall youth classes in the BAX Building from 12PM–2:30PM. Come meet BAX staff, new and returning families, and experience the creativity, connection, and multigenerational spirit that have made BAX a home for artists and families for 35 years.
BAX 2026-2028 AIRs!
Established in 1993, the AIR (Artist in Residence) program has supported over 70 dance, theater, and multidisciplinary performance artists across three decades. The program is designed as a process-oriented incubator, supporting artists who share BAX’s commitment to racial and cultural justice, whose work is still in development, and who are eager to deepen their artistic practice within a collaborative, cohort-based structure.
