Sujetka (she/her) is a queer multidisciplinary artist, born in Lima, Perú, currently based in New York City. As a performance artist motivated by social change, she explores the dynamics of power, the ‘gaze,’ and the perception of the body within repressive structures, with a specific focus on the experience of language.

Her exploration is dedicated to addressing issues of mistreatment within women, children, and the service industry, aiming to challenge normalized behaviors and encourage reflection on one’s societal position and complicity in everyday situations.

She began her art studies in 2014 at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and continued at the Institute of Contemporary Visual Arts, Corriente Alterna, until 2020. She now forms part of the Argentina Performance Art platform permanent team. Additionally, her work has been featured in multiple exhibitions at renowned institutions in Peru, New York City, and Spain.
