About the Spring Break Arts Program
At BAX, we foster creativity and encourage playful exploration in a positive and nurturing environment. Our Spring Break Arts Program draws from our year-round education programs to provide young artists with opportunities to explore different forms of performing and mixed media arts around a specific daily theme thoughtfully designed for active and fun engagement. Arts Specialists teach daily workshops, while a well-trained, creative staff supports a healthy balance of fun indoor (at the BAX Building in spacious studios) and outdoor play (at the nearby Old Stone House in Washington Park/JJ Byrne Playground), performance, and art-making activities. At the end of each week, families are sent photos/videos of the weekly activities and projects.

Program Groups & Ages
Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade (Ages 5-10) participate in two different groups, organized by age: NanoBAXers (K – 2nd graders) and MegaBAXers (3rd – 5th graders).
Program Hours & Extended Day
- 8:30-9:00am Drop Off
- 9:00am-3:00pm Main Program
- 3:00-5:45pm Extended Day Add-On
Extended Day is available for an additional fee for families who need additional caretaking coverage until 5:45pm. In Extended Day, children have time for free play, small group activities, visual arts, and snack. For those enrolled in Extended Day, pick up can happen anytime between 3:00-5:45pm.

Spring Break tuition is priced at sliding scale tiers that include subsidies of up to 25%. All families can self-select from these tier options and enroll in a payment plan during the registration process. Information about (limited) scholarships beyond the publicly available sliding scale tiers will be available soon.
We have a limited amount of financial assistance available beyond these public tiers. Please submit a request for additional financial assistance by filling out the Financial Assistance Application for School Break Programs. Over 60% of our families receive some form of financial assistance.

Note: BAX will assign groups (Nano or Mega) based on registrants’ ages, rather than allowing self-selection. Families will receive group assignments after registration. There are no changes to group structure, programming, or pricing.
