Peggy Peloquin
Artist in Residence (1998-2000)

During Peggy’s time at LREI as dance, life skills and yoga teacher , she has coached the step team, created and run several choreographers workshops, and collaborated with her students on over 100 choreographic works. Peggy’s choreographic work has been presented at many venues, including DTW, BAX, The West End Theater, and Joe’s pub. She is a Bessie award winner. Her critically acclaimed community based performance, Tender: The Nurses Project, was created through her Artist In Residency with Dance Theater Workshop’s Public Imaginations program, and a 2000 A.I.R. from BAX. Peggy is a trained facilitator of NYFA’s Leaders Circle program, and SEED leader (Seeking Equity and Educational Diversity). In her free time she serves as an Integrated Therapist and mentor with the UZIT program and volunteers at Beth Israel on the oncology floor.
