
Jesse Phillips-Fein

Jesse Phillips-Fein grew up dancing at the Brooklyn Arts Exchange in the Young People’s Performance Workshop. Jesse earned a B.A. in Dance & Anthropology from Smith College, a Diploma in Dance Studies from the Laban Centre, London, a M.A. in Interdisciplinary studies from The Gallatin School/NYU, and participated the 2012 EMERGENYC program at the Hemispheric Institute for Performance and Politics. In addition to their own choreography, Jesse has collaborated with Box By Three Dance Co., the Square One Collective, Shana Bloomstein and Women’s Works in Maine, White Folks Soul, and nia love. After 15 years teaching middle & high school dance at Brooklyn Friends School, Jesse now teaches dance in the NYC Department of Education.
