Clare Maxwell
Space Grant (1998/1999)

Clare Maxwell is a dancer & movement educator based in NYC. After a long career in experimental dance, she completed her training in the Alexander Technique and The Art of Breathing. She refocused her artistic practice on teaching instead of choreography, working with actors, dancers, and creative people. She now mentors other embodiment teachers in developing healthy and abundant businesses in her Mastermind Groups, as well as training them in her innovative methods of teaching, Cranial Nerve Sequencing and Mobile Body Alignment. Clare also created a multidisciplinary embodiment teachers’ work exchange community called the Experimenters Union. Tamar Rogoff’s BodyScripting has become a huge influence and inspiration in her teaching and dance practice.
