Catharine Dill is a theater artist working under the company name Exploding Moment. She has produced and directed six projects as Exploding Moment–Date:Time, What I Like About Breasts, Can I Help You?, Ye’re Here, Cuzin!, Hot Dust, and Primitive Tissue. Dill also co-produced and/or co-directed five projects with the arts ensemble Red Dive, which she co founded. Her work has been featured throughout New York City at venues such as Collective: Unconscious, The Williamsburg Art & Historical Center, Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX), Incubator Arts Project, The University Settlement, The Lower East Side Tenement Museum, The Ukrainian National Hall, the Soto Velez Cultural Center, and a parking garage on South Seventh Street in Williamsburg. Her awards include the Bessie Award for Installation and New Media, the AREA Award, residencies at The MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, The Bogliasco Foundation and Brooklyn Arts Exchange, and grants from Art Matters, the Greenwall Foundation, the Heathcote Foundation, the Curtis W. McGraw Foundation, The Foundry Theatre Emerging Artists’ Award and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s MCAF Award.
