Announcing the BAX Annex!
We’re also proud to announce that the BAX Annex is now the official home of EmergeNYC, our flagship program for emerging artist-activists, and the Drag Summer Arts Program, a rare and joyful space for young people exploring drag performance.
The BAX Annex houses an 45×19 (865 square-foot), column-free studio with sprung floor with black Marley. Additional amenities include basic theater lighting, bluetooth speakers, free WiFi, and a welcome lounge and outdoor garden.
This expansion marks a new era for BAX—one rooted in accessibility, artistic experimentation, and radical inclusion. We can’t wait to welcome you into our growing creative community.

Rent Space at the BAX Annex!
This space is available for rehearsals, lock-out weeks, and additional mission-aligned uses. Located in Downtown Brooklyn/Fort Greene, this location is near the 2/3, 4/5, R/N/D, and B/Q subway lines at the Atlantic Avenue Barclays Center subway station, the C at Lafayette, and the G at Fulton Street. LIRR trains at the Atlantic Terminal are also close by, as are the B25, B26, and B52 buses at Fulton Street & South Portland Avenue, and the B41, B54, B63, B65, and B67 buses near Atlantic Terminal/Flatbush Avenue.
